Brian Michael Bendis talks the Avengers movie

Brian Michael Bendis is the writer behind the current Avengers comic book so it is only natural that he has a few thoughts as to how to get the high tech Iron Man, the mythical Thor and the rest to mix together in the Avengers movie in 2012. “My advice is, has been, and will be, that much like the comics, you look at movies like the ‘Oceans’ movies that have all these different flavors, you put the flavors together and you cook ‘em,” Bendis told MTV News . “It absolutely can be done.”

The Peter Bagge Era begins with Fox Bradley Pilot and more

After having been ripped off countless times in the past 25 years, Peter Bagge’s Bradleys comics have been given a pilot deal at Fox. Flog reports that Bagge is writing the pilot for an animated series, which will deal with über-slckaer Buddy Bradley’s teen aged years with Butch, Babs and the ‘rents. This is actually at elast Bagge’s second go round with TV, as he had a pilot development deal with MTV back in the 90s.

“F—ing Dick [Grayson] has a girlfriend, why can’t I have a girlfriend? I f— a lot, but why can’t I be involved with somebody?”

That’s filmmaker turned comics writer/filmmaker Kevin Smith talking to Rick Marshall at MTV’s Splash Page about his current Batman: The Widening Gyre miniseries for DC. Specifically, that’s him paraphrasing Batman’s line of thinking during the course of the miniseries. I kind of wish Smith actually wrote Batman’s narration boxes and dialogue like that. It probably wouldn’t make for a better comic, but it would certainly make for a funnier one. Maybe DC will let him write a mature reade

Norton Talks Hulk In ‘The Avengers’

Since the official announcement came out that Marvel Studios was going to make The Avengers movie, I’ve maintained this would be the biggest comic book film ever. Coordinating the efforts to bring so many Marvel characters together, specifically Iron Man , Captain America and Thor, is something that just hasn’t been done before. It’s a massive endeavor and while we know who the heroes will be, the film’s antagonist still remains a mystery.

EXCLUSIVE: Edward Norton Likes The Idea Of Hulk As ‘Avengers’ Villain

Ever since the moment " The Avengers " movie became official, there's been speculation about what the plot will entail—specifically, what force could be so great that it would need the combined efforts of Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and the stars of the rest of Marvel's solo movies to share the spotlight. The most obvious answer has always been Hulk, the green-skinned behemoth that first forced the eclectic group of heroes to team up in the comic book world. When MTV News caught up with E

Witchblade Movie Won’t Follow The Comic Book

MTV News sat down recently with Matt Hawkins, President of Top Cow Comics, to talk about the long-rumored movie adaptation of Top Cow’s Witchblade . In the interview, Hawkins insisted that the Witchblade movie is indeed still alive and kicking - financing has been secured, they’ve found a director, Michael Rymer ( Battlestar Galactica , Queen of the Damned ) - all that remains is finding a writer to hammer out the script. To get that ball rolling, Hawkins revealed that he (along with c

Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths – New DC Comics animated feature

I have still not got hold of the new Green Lantern: First Flight or seen any of the Superman / Batman: Public Enemies animated films that DC have recently released (if any PR people reading this have any screener copies they want to send me to review then send them my way – hey that’s one of the perks of running this site). However, I do love cartoons, comics and superheroes so anything like this is immediately cool in my book. MTV had this first look at the new film and it is based on
