Fantomas

Fantomas The anti-hero has a certain European flair to it. Therefore it should come as no surprise that the character of Fantomas should be so enduring in underground art culture. Pervading the film world as well as the comic book medium the masked criminal genius known as Fantomas has impacted many art forms over the decades. Praised by absurdist painter set, film maker Jean Cocteau and novelist Umberto Eco. A sadistic killer and master of men, the character was thrust upon the world in 191

At this weekend’s London MCM Expo I have the privilege of taking part in a roundtable interview with actor Idris Elba from the upcoming comic book movie The Losers , based on the comic book by writer Andy Diggle and artist Jock. Elba has previously starred in Ultraviolet, Obsessed and The Wire , and in The Losers he plays the character of Roque, the scar-faced second-in-command, whose only motivation is the money. Deadpool #900 Reviews

The Weekly Crisis Some good, some bad stories within this book. If you are a Deadpool fan, this is a must read as there are plenty of gags and jokes to keep you busy. For everyone else, I don't think this is the best version of Deadpool to present, so I can see why people might not like it or understand the cult following this character has developed. Comics Bulletin - 3.5/5 Marvel has outdone themselves with this book but as an aside I would love it if they scaled back Deadpool's expos

Uncanny X-Men #516 – Review

by Matt Fraction (writer), Greg Land (pencils), Jay Leisten (inks), Justin Ponsors (colors), and Joe Caramagna (letters) The Story: Magneto tries to make his position clear and Nation X faces its first attack/invasion. What’s Good: Magneto is the obvious star of the show here.  Fraction does a solid job of writing the character.  His voice is enjoyable, at once likable and yet impossible not to find suspicious, always carrying that air of sophistication, intelligence, and power. What’

Kibbles ‘n’ Bits, 10/14/09

It’s simultaneously the least important subject ever and also one that infects and affects so many people. Also, there’s this huge stigma about it. It puts 70-80-percent of adults in this weird space where they can’t talk about it, and they have to feel really bad abo
